Damages in Italian personal injury cases
The handbook addresses the issue of damage compensation for personal injury cases in Italian law, analyzing the most significant Italian case law up to May 2021.
The paper contains an overview of the principles of tort law (e.g. liability of masters and employers, dangerous activities, road accidents, medmal), focusing on the assessment and liquidation of damages pursuant to the established criteria followed by local courts (e.g. domestic assistance, adaptation and refurbishment of the home, loss of earnings, impairment, danno differenziale, punitive damages).
