Elena Corcione has extensive academic and professional experience in the field of international human rights protection in business activities, with a particular focus on global value chains in the food sector.
After obtaining a Law degree, a PhD from the University of Turin, and qualifying as a lawyer, she collaborated with a leading law firm in Turin, assisting clients in out-of-court activities and in the activities of supervisory bodies.
She has been a research fellow at the Institute for International Legal Studies of the National Research Council, Collegio Carlo Alberto, the Department of Law at the University of Turin, and is currently conducting research at the University of Gastronomic Sciences in Pollenzo.
She has published in national and international scientific journals on business & human rights, international law, and human rights, and has been a speaker at numerous national and international conferences on the subject. She has experience in traditional and experiential teaching in university courses, master’s programs, and corporate training in social sustainability, human rights, and international law.
She is a member of the Italian Society of International Law, the Global Business and Human Rights Association, and the International Society of Gastronomic Sciences and Studies.
